Deirdre is an accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor (MIACP) with extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, and families across diverse settings. Her work spans private practice, addiction services, community-based programs, family support initiatives, and mental health services, where she has provided therapeutic support to clients navigating a wide range of challenges. In addition to her clinical work, Deirdre is a dedicated trainer and lecturer in Counselling & Psychotherapy.
Deirdre works from a humanistic and integrative approach, drawing on humanistic, psychodynamic, and solution-focused theories to provide clients with personalized support as they explore their presenting issues. Her approach is client centred, fostering self-awareness, personal growth, and the development of adaptive coping strategies.
Deirdre is deeply committed to tailoring evidence based therapeutic interventions to meet the unique and multifaceted needs of each client. She believes in empowering individuals to understand their challenges, embrace their strengths, and create meaningful healing and change.
Before transitioning to the field of psychological health and wellbeing, Deirdre began her career in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Industry after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Food Science and Technology from Technological University Dublin (TUD). During this time, she held leadership roles in quality assurance, business development, and team management.
